## Snipri in one paragraph

Snipri is AI video clipping that explains why each moment deserves to be a clip. The web app turns one long video, such as a podcast episode, an interview or a webinar, into short vertical clips with captions burned in, ready for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. A language model reads the transcript and keeps only the moments that make sense on their own, each with five scores and a written reason. Each clip is reframed to 1080×1920 around the speaker's face, and the captions highlight each word as it is spoken. Snipri is built and run by one person, Cihan Düzgören.

## Key facts

| Fact | Snipri |
| --- | --- |
| What it is | An AI video clipper, also called an AI clip maker. It is a web app, with nothing to install. |
| Made by | [Cihan Düzgören](https://www.snipri.com/about), who builds and runs Snipri alone |
| Founded | 2026 |
| Website | [www.snipri.com](https://www.snipri.com/) |
| Contact | [hello@snipri.com](mailto:hello@snipri.com), answered by the founder |
| What goes in | An uploaded video file, a public YouTube, Vimeo or direct video link, or a file picked from Dropbox or Google Drive, one video per job |
| Longest video | Up to 1 hour on Free, 2 hours on Starter and 3 hours on Pro and Scale. Imported links and cloud files can be up to an hour long on any plan. A longer recording can be uploaded and clipped one part at a time, and each part counts as one video for each hour of it, rounded up. |
| Largest upload | 1 GB on Free, 3 GB on Starter and 10 GB on Pro and Scale |
| Spoken languages | 25, each transcribed and captioned in its own language: Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish, Ukrainian and Vietnamese. The language can be named when the video is added, or detected. |
| What comes out | Up to 10 MP4 clips from each video, vertical 1080×1920, captions burned in. A finished clip can be switched to square (1:1) or landscape (16:9) in the editor. |
| Clip length | Clips run 15 to 60 seconds by default. Before a job you can choose 10 to 30 seconds, 30 to 60 seconds, 60 to 90 seconds or 90 seconds to 3 minutes instead. One clip, chosen before the job instead, keeps up to 10 minutes of the video as a single clip. |
| Which moments | When Snipri picks, only moments that make sense on their own. Hook, payoff and standalone sense must each score 7/10, so a video can come back with fewer clips, or none, and a video with none is not counted. |
| Captions | Burned in word by word, each word highlighted as it is spoken, in 31 ready-made styles that can be changed after the clip is made |
| Usual wait | About 43 minutes, and the job keeps running once the video is handed over |
| Billing | By the video. A video counts once for each hour of it, rounded up, when its job comes back with at least one clip, and edits, re-renders and splits are free. |
| Watermark | On the Free plan only |
| Posting | Clips are downloaded and posted by hand. Snipri never posts on anyone's behalf. |
| API | On the Starter, Pro and Scale plans: a program can send a video by upload or link, read its clips back and receive a signed webhook when the job ends. Its jobs are counted in videos like any other. |

## How a video becomes clips

1. **Transcribe.** The audio becomes a transcript with a timing for every word. Speech recognition runs on Groq.
2. **Select.** A language model from Anthropic reads the transcript and scores each candidate moment on hook, payoff, standalone sense, arc and quotability. Hook, payoff and standalone sense must each reach 7/10 or the moment is dropped, and the scores sit beside every clip it keeps. [Each kind of video](https://www.snipri.com/tools#kinds) (podcast, webinar, Q&A and others) is judged by its own rules, picked before the job or named by Snipri. With One clip chosen instead, nothing is selected: up to 10 minutes of the video becomes one clip, with no scores.
3. **Reframe.** Each clip is cropped to vertical 1080×1920 with the face tracked. Two people sharing a wide shot can be stacked in one frame. In a webinar or another kind of video led by a screen, a confirmed webcam inset puts the screen on top and the speaker below. A shot with no face keeps the whole picture on a blurred backdrop.
4. **Caption.** Captions are burned in word by word, each word highlighted as it is spoken, unless they are switched off before the job. An editable hook title card can open the clip.
5. **Deliver.** Clips land in the person's library. Restyling the captions, trimming or splitting a clip afterwards does not run the source video again and costs nothing.

## Plans and prices

- **Free:** $0, 2 videos once, each up to 1 hour, uploads up to 1 GB, with a watermark.
- **Starter:** $29.90 a month or $286.90 a year, 10 videos a month, each up to 2 hours, uploads up to 3 GB, API access.
- **Pro:** $89.90 a month or $862.90 a year, 30 videos a month, each up to 3 hours, uploads up to 10 GB, API access.
- **Scale:** $299 a month or $2,869.90 a year, 100 videos a month, each up to 3 hours, uploads up to 10 GB, API access.

Prices are in US dollars. Unused videos do not roll over, the free videos never refill, and clips never expire on any plan.

## What Snipri does not do

- It gives no virality score and does not predict views or reach. The five scores beside each clip say why the moment was kept, not how far it will travel.
- It does not post to TikTok, Instagram, YouTube or any other account.
- It does not work from audio alone. It needs a video, because it frames each clip around the people on screen.
- It has no timeline that spans several clips. The editor works on one clip at a time.
- It does not import private, members-only or live YouTube videos.
- It does not charge by the minute, the clip or the export.
