# Snipri > AI video clipping that explains why each moment deserves to be a clip. Snipri turns long podcasts and interviews into captioned vertical clips. You give it a source — an uploaded file, a pasted link, or a file picked out of Dropbox or Google Drive — and it transcribes the audio with word-level timings, has a language model pick the moments that stand on their own rather than cutting at arbitrary pauses, reframes each one to vertical with the speaker tracked, and burns in word-by-word captions with the spoken word highlighted as it lands. Every clip it keeps comes with five scores (hook, payoff, standalone sense, arc and quotability) and a written reason for keeping it. Clips come back ready for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts, and any of them can be re-captioned afterwards — font, colour, position, highlight style, emoji — without re-running the job. ## Clips and languages Clips run 15 to 60 seconds by default. Before a job you can choose 10 to 30 seconds, 30 to 60 seconds, 60 to 90 seconds or 90 seconds to 3 minutes instead. A job returns up to 10 vertical 1080×1920 clips and at most 10 minutes of clips in total, so longer clips come back fewer. One clip, chosen before the job instead, keeps up to 10 minutes of the video as a single clip. Snipri transcribes and captions 25 languages: Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish, Ukrainian and Vietnamese. Choose the spoken language when you add a video, or let Snipri detect it. Captions are written in the spoken language; Snipri does not translate them. ## Pricing Plans count videos, not minutes or clips. A video is one recording, or one part of a longer upload, that comes back with at least one clip, and one job gives up to 10 clips. A video counts once for each hour of it, rounded up, so an hour or less is one video and a 90-minute recording is two. A job that fails or finds nothing worth clipping is not counted, and edits, re-renders and splits of finished clips are free. From a video that found no clips, making the first of its near-misses into a clip counts the video, and any after it are free. Paid plans are billed monthly in USD, with a number of videos per billing cycle that does not roll over. Where the app offers it, each paid plan can also be billed yearly at 20% less ($286.90, $862.90 or $2,869.90 a year), with the same videos every month. Free includes 2 videos once and never refills. Clips never expire. Each plan sets how long one video can be; link, Dropbox and Google Drive imports bring in up to 1 hour on every plan. Cloud imports and paid checkout depend on availability shown in the app. - Free: $0, 2 videos once, up to 1 hour each, watermark on output - Starter: $29.90/month, 10 videos, up to 2 hours each, counted by the hour, no watermark, API access - Pro: $89.90/month, 30 videos, up to 3 hours each, counted by the hour, no watermark, uploads up to 10 GB, API access - Scale: $299/month, 100 videos, up to 3 hours each, counted by the hour, everything in Pro ## Links - [Snipri](https://www.snipri.com/): What it does, with examples. - [Pricing](https://www.snipri.com/pricing): Plans, allowances, yearly prices, what counts as a video, and cancellation. - [Docs](https://www.snipri.com/docs): Step-by-step guides to every screen and tool: signing in, adding a video, the settings before a job, each editor tool, the brand kit, downloads, plans and billing, what each message means, and the API. - [Blog](https://www.snipri.com/blog): Guides to clip lengths, sizes and captions for Shorts and Reels, and to clipping long videos, each with its sources. - [Features](https://www.snipri.com/features): Clip selection, auto reframe, animated captions, the brand kit and the clip editor, each with its numbers and what it does not do. - [Use cases](https://www.snipri.com/tools): Podcasts, interviews, webinars, YouTube videos and other long talking videos. - [Compare](https://www.snipri.com/alternatives): Dated, sourced comparisons with 19 clipping, caption and video tools, Opus Clip, Klap, Vizard and Ssemble among them, and the tools that closed or have not launched. - [Clip review checklist](https://www.snipri.com/resources/podcast-clip-review-checklist.txt): Reusable selection and publishing checklist. - [Clip decision log](https://www.snipri.com/resources/podcast-clip-decision-log.csv): Blank CSV template for source timestamps and editorial decisions. - [About](https://www.snipri.com/about): Who builds and runs Snipri, and what is built today. - [Fact sheet](https://www.snipri.com/ai-info): What Snipri is, how it works, plans, limits, languages, what it does not do, and how it relates to the formats and tools it is mentioned with. - [Every page in full](https://www.snipri.com/llms-full.txt): The home page, pricing, the fact sheet, the docs and every feature, use case, comparison and guide below, as Markdown in one file. - [Blog feed](https://www.snipri.com/rss.xml): RSS feed of the guides, newest first. - [Affiliate program](https://www.snipri.com/affiliates): Earn 20% of each payment from the customers you refer, for their first 12 months, tracked and paid by Lemon Squeezy. - [Contact](https://www.snipri.com/contact): One address, hello@snipri.com, for clips, billing, bugs, copyright and press. ## Docs Each guide covers one task in the app, with the limits that apply printed from the code that sets them, and what to do when something goes wrong. - [How Snipri works](https://www.snipri.com/docs/how-snipri-works): What Snipri does with a long recording: it reads the transcript, picks the moments that stand on their own, then reframes and captions each one. - [Make your first clips](https://www.snipri.com/docs/make-your-first-clips): A first job from start to finish: sign in, add a video in the Studio, choose how it is clipped, get clips, then review and download them in My clips. - [Find your way around Snipri](https://www.snipri.com/docs/find-your-way-around): The four screens of the app and what each one is for: the Studio, My clips, Brand and Plan & videos, with the bar on top and the account menu. - [Sign in and manage your account](https://www.snipri.com/docs/sign-in-and-account): Sign in with Google or with a code sent to your email address, what to do when a code doesn't arrive, and how to sign out or close your account. - [Upload a video file](https://www.snipri.com/docs/upload-a-video): Which files Snipri takes, the largest upload and longest video on each plan, and what to do when an upload stops partway or a file can't be read. - [Import a video from a link](https://www.snipri.com/docs/import-a-video-from-a-link): Paste a link to a public video or a video file, or pick one from a cloud drive, and Snipri fetches it for you.
