Snipri respects the intellectual property rights of others and complies with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"). If you believe content processed through our Service infringes your copyright, you can submit a notice as described below.
1. Submitting a takedown notice
Email your notice to hello@snipri.comwith the subject line "DMCA Takedown Notice". To be valid under 17 U.S.C. § 512, the notice must include:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner (or someone authorised to act on their behalf).
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the material on Snipri that is allegedly infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it (e.g. URLs).
- Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf.
2. Counter-notice
If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, you can submit a counter-notice to the same email with the subject "DMCA Counter-Notice". The counter-notice must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material removed and the location it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number.
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court where you reside (or, if outside the U.S., the Northern District of California) and that you will accept service from the original complainant.
3. Repeat infringers
We terminate accounts of users we determine to be repeat infringers in accordance with the DMCA.
4. Misrepresentations
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing — or was removed by mistake — may be liable for damages. Do not submit false notices.
