Privacy Policy

Last updated May 21, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Snipri ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use snipri.com and the Snipri service (the "Service").

1. Information we collect

We collect three categories of information:

  • Account data. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and profile image from Google. We store this in our database to identify your account.
  • Usage data. Video URLs you submit, clipping parameters you choose (aspect ratio, number of highlights), generated output URLs, remaining minutes, and timestamps of each action.
  • Billing data. Subscription status, plan, and renewal dates returned by our payment processor (LemonSqueezy). We never receive or store your full card number — LemonSqueezy handles all payment data directly.

2. How we use information

  • To provide and operate the Service (process your clipping jobs, deliver results, meter minutes).
  • To send transactional email — a welcome message when you sign up, a receipt when you are charged, and a note when your clip is ready — via Resend. The clip notification can be turned off on the Billing page; the other two are part of running your account.
  • To detect and prevent abuse (rate limiting, fraud signals).
  • To improve the product through aggregate, non-identifying analytics (Plausible).
  • To respond to support requests you send to hello@snipri.com.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it to train AI models.

3. Subprocessors

We share data with these third parties only to operate the Service:

  • Google — sign-in (you authenticate against Google directly).
  • LemonSqueezy — payment processing and subscription billing.
  • Anthropic — we send the video's transcript (not the video itself) to an LLM to identify highlight moments; it is not used to train models.
  • Cloudflare R2 — storage and delivery of the finished clips.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery.
  • Neon / Vercel — database and application hosting.
  • Plausible / Sentry — privacy-friendly analytics and error tracking.
  • Upstash — rate-limit state and the job queue.

4. Data retention

We keep account and usage data while your account is active. You can delete your account by emailing hello@snipri.com; we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to keep it for tax/accounting purposes (typically up to 7 years for billing records, in anonymized or pseudonymized form).

5. Your rights

If you are in the EU, UK, or California, you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@snipri.com from the address on your account.

6. Cookies

We use a single first-party session cookie for authentication. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Our analytics provider (Plausible) does not use cookies or collect personal data.

7. Children

Snipri is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. Material changes will be announced by email or in-app notice. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version.
