Terms of Service

Some of this takes effect on August 28, 2026

Three things here are new: section 4 (importing from other services), section 10 (indemnification), and one bullet in section 2 about obtaining video from other platforms. Those three apply from August 28, 2026. If you would rather not accept them, you can cancel or close your account before that date; your clips remain downloadable either way.

Everything else applies now. On August 2, 2026 section 5 and one bullet in section 2were reworded from "credits" to "minutes": Snipri has always metered minutes of source video one-for-one, so this names the unit the way the Service actually bills it and changes nothing about what you are charged or granted. The remaining sections only moved number to make room.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of snipri.com and the Snipri service (the "Service") operated by Snipri ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility & account

You must be at least 13 (16 in the EEA) to use Snipri. You are responsible for safeguarding access to your account and for all activity that occurs under it.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Upload, submit, or generate content you do not have rights to use.
  • Use the Service to harass, defame, or infringe on anyone's rights.
  • Attempt to bypass rate limits, usage checks, watermarks, or other technical protections.
  • Use the Service to obtain a video from another platform in breach of that platform's terms, or to get around another platform's access restrictions. (New — applies from August 28, 2026.)
  • Reverse engineer the Service or use it to build a competing product.
  • Resell or sublicense Service output without our written permission.

3. Your content

You retain all rights to the source videos you submit and the clips Snipri generates from them. You grant us a limited license to process, store, and transmit your content for the sole purpose of operating the Service (including forwarding to our AI subprocessor and storing outputs for you to download).

You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to all content you submit. If your source is copyrighted, you are responsible for ensuring you have permission to use it.

4. Importing from other services

New — applies from August 28, 2026

Snipri can take your source video from a link you paste or from a cloud service you pick it from. Those services are run by other companies. We are not affiliated with them, we do not control them, and we cannot promise that importing from any particular one will keep working.

When you bring a video in from another service, that service's own terms and policies still apply to you, and you agree to keep to them. Being able to reach a video is not the same as being allowed to download it: do not ask Snipri to fetch something you are not permitted to take from where it is stored. That judgment is yours, and the warranty you give in section 3 covers it.

When you import from Google Drive we ask Google only for the specific files you select — the narrowest permission Google offers — and that permission expires about an hour later. When you import from Dropbox we receive only a temporary download link for the file you picked, and no access to your Dropbox account at all. In both cases we fetch the file once, to make your clips. You can review or withdraw app access at any time in your Google or Dropbox account settings.

5. Subscriptions & minutes

  • Paid plans are sold as monthly subscriptions billed in advance through LemonSqueezy. Each renewal grants the plan's monthly allowance of minutes of source video.
  • Minutes do not roll over from month to month. Unused minutes expire at the end of each billing period.
  • You can cancel any time. After cancellation you keep access through the end of the current period.

  • We may change prices for future billing periods with at least 14 days notice. Existing periods are not affected.

6. Service availability

We work to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, third-party outages (notably our AI vendor), or force majeure events may cause downtime. We are not liable for losses resulting from such interruptions beyond crediting affected users.

7. Copyright (DMCA)

If you believe content processed through Snipri infringes your copyright, see our DMCA Policy for how to submit a takedown notice.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are involved in fraud or abuse. You may close your account at any time by emailing hello@snipri.com.

9. Disclaimer & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

New — applies from August 28, 2026

To the extent applicable law allows it, you agree to cover Snipri and the people who work on it against any third-party claim, demand, loss, liability, or reasonable legal cost that arises out of:

  • content you submit, or clips produced from it — including a claim that it infringes someone's copyright or trademark, or their privacy or publicity rights;
  • your breach of these Terms, including the warranty you give in section 3 and the obligations in section 4;
  • your breach of the terms of a service you imported a video from; or
  • activity carried out through your account, including by anyone you let use it.

If we ask you to cover a claim, we will tell you promptly and give you a say in how it is handled: we will not settle it on terms that put an obligation on you without your agreement, and you will not settle it on terms that put an obligation on us without ours. This section does not take away any right you have as a consumer under the law of your own country that cannot be signed away.

11. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
