Clip selection

Choose how a video is clipped

Every setting the Studio offers before a job: Best moments or One clip, the length of each clip, the kind of video, moments to look for and the captions.

On this page

The settings open under a video once it is in the Studio. Each one changes what the job does, and left as they are they let Snipri decide.

Best moments or One clip

#

The Clips card starts on Best moments: Snipri reads the whole part you keep and makes a clip of each moment that stands on its own.

One clip keeps the part of the video you use as a single clip, up to 10 minutes long.

With One clip there is nothing to select, so the clip has no scores and no hook title. A video from a link or a cloud drive is used whole, so for One clip it has to be no longer than that.

Length of each clip

#

Clips run 15 to 60 seconds by default. Before a job you can choose 10 to 30 seconds, 30 to 60 seconds, 60 to 90 seconds or 90 seconds to 3 minutes instead.

A job returns up to 10 clips and at most 10 minutes of clips in total, so longer clips come back fewer.

Kind of video

#

The kind of video tells Snipri what a strong moment looks like in that format: a Q&A keeps each answer with its question, a webinar leaves out the agenda and the housekeeping, and comedy keeps the setup with its punchline.

Kind of video starts on Auto, which lets Snipri tell the format from the transcript. The other 16 are Q&A, Commentary, Marketing, Webinar, Motivational speech, Podcast, Academic, Listicle, Product reviews, How-to, Comedy, Sports commentary, Sermon, News, Vlog and Gaming.

A webinar or another kind of video led by a screen also changes the framing: where Snipri confirms a webcam inset, the screen goes on top of the clip and the speaker below. The webinar clip maker page shows it.

Moments to look for

#

Write what you want clipped in your own words, such as "every time we talk about pricing". Matching moments come first, as long as each one works as a clip on its own, so a request never turns a weak moment into a clip.

Moments to look for takes a sentence of up to 300 characters.

Captions and the hook title

#

The Captions card shows a frame of your own video wearing the selected style, beside every caption style. It starts on your brand's look if you saved one on the Brand page, and on Karaoke if you didn't. The switch at the top of the card turns captions off for the whole job. Change a clip's caption style describes each style.

The Hook title switch puts a short title on screen as each clip starts. It needs captions on, and One clip has no title to show. You can rewrite or remove the title of any clip later, in the editor.

Keep the settings

Use these settings next time keeps the choices in this browser for your next video. The part of the video you kept and the moments you asked for stay with this video only.
