How videos are counted

Snipri counts videos, not minutes or clips: one for each hour of the part a job reads, and only when the job comes back with clips. What is always free.

Plans are counted in videos. Not minutes, not clips and not exports: a job uses videos from your plan only when it gives you clips.

The rule

#

A job counts one video for each hour of the part of the video it reads, rounded up, and it counts only when it comes back with at least one clip. How many clips it gives makes no difference.

Part of the video a job processesVideos it counts
45 minutes1
1 hour1
1 hour and 30 minutes2
3 hours3

The part a job reads is the part you keep with the timeframe, so on an upload a shorter part counts fewer videos. The bar under the Studio's settings says how many a job will use before you press Get clips.

What never counts

#
  • A job that fails, whatever stopped it.
  • A job that finds no moment worth clipping, until you make one of its near-misses into a clip.
  • Every edit, render and split of a clip you already have.
  • Every near-miss you make into a clip after the first one from the same video.

When a video comes back with no clips explains the near-misses.

While a job runs

#

A job holds the videos it would count from the moment it is queued until it ends, so the last videos on a plan can't be spent twice. If the job fails, nothing is counted and the videos it held are free again. When you have fewer videos left than a part would count, the Studio lets you keep only as much as your videos cover.

When videos come back

#
  • The free videos come once and never refill.
  • A paid plan's videos come back each month when the plan renews, and the ones you didn't use don't carry over.
  • A yearly plan gets the same videos every month, refilled on each monthly anniversary of the payment.

You start with 2 free videos of up to 1 hour each, once, with a watermark and no credit card. Paid plans start at $29.90/month for 10 videos a month, each up to 2 hours, without a watermark. A video counts once for each hour of it, rounded up, and only when it gives you at least one clip.

Plan & videos shows how many videos you have left and when they come back. Plans and limits lists what each plan includes.
