Getting started
Make your first clips
A first job from start to finish: sign in, add a video in the Studio, choose how it is clipped, get clips, then review and download them in My clips.
On this page
A first job takes a few choices and one button. This guide follows one from signing in to saving the clips.
#Sign in with Google, or with a six-digit code sent to your email address. The Free plan starts as soon as you are in, and Sign in and manage your account covers both ways.
You start with 2 free videos of up to 1 hour each, once, with a watermark and no credit card. Paid plans start at $29.90/month for 10 videos a month, each up to 2 hours, without a watermark. A video counts once for each hour of it, rounded up, and only when it gives you at least one clip.
If you chose a video on the home page before signing in, a code sign-in keeps it on the page. Google's sign-in leaves the page and comes back, and a browser can't carry a file through that, so afterwards the Studio names the video and asks you to choose it again.
Add a video
#In the Studio, press Upload video or drag the file onto it, or paste a link into the field that says Paste a video link.
You can upload the file, paste a link to it, pick it from Dropbox or pick it from Google Drive.
Upload a video file and Import a video from a link give the limits of each way in.
Choose how it is clipped
#Once a video is in, its settings open under it in three cards:
- Video shows the footage. Drag the lime part to keep only the part you want clipped, and set the Spoken language, or leave it on Detect automatically.
- Clips chooses between Best moments, where Snipri picks the moments, and One clip, where the part you keep becomes a single clip. For Best moments it also sets the length of each clip and the kind of video.
- Captions shows a frame of your video wearing the chosen captions, beside the caption styles and the Hook title switch.
Left as they are, the settings let Snipri decide everything. Choose how a video is clipped explains each one.
Get clips
#The bar at the foot of the settings says how many videos the job will use. Press Get clips to start it.
A typical job takes about 43 minutes, longer when a recording gives many clips. The Studio shows its estimate while the job runs and updates it as each step finishes.
A file has to finish uploading before the job can start, so keep the Studio open until the upload bar is full. After that you can close the tab: the job keeps running, and its clips land in My clips.
Review and download
#When the job is done, the Studio shows its clips. Review and download opens them in My clips, where each clip plays with its title, its scores and the reason it was chosen. Download saves one clip, Download all saves every clip from the video, and Open editor opens a clip to change it.
Download your clips covers the files, and Edit a clip covers the editor.
